Everyone always bemoans what could have been, and in FTL, you always hear the decisions that someone would have and should have made. So what would you do if a second chance was actually available!?!?
FTL has always been a 1-n-done scenario where things are either going well or they aren't. Yes, things can come full circle and your season can change on a dime, but WHAT IF you could actually start over?
Well for the first time, the FTL is giving everyone that opportunity! Starting at Wimbledon, everyone will have the opportunity to pick a team from scratch and start the season over!
Because this has never been done, some of the details for future seasons are incomplete and as a result your feedback (both positive and negative) will be invaluable.
Lets help everyone out and answer some FAQ's
1. If the season starts at Wimbledon, when does it finish?
- Similar to the typical FTL Season, the season will end at the ATP Year End Finals
2.How much? Prizes?
- The first trial will be a demo and as a result will be free to enter. Sadly as a result of this, prizes won't be available.
- In Future seasons, we are looking at having 2 options just like we've had typically, except the prices would be 10USD for Option 1 and 25USD for Option 2
3. Players Values? Price Changes?
- Players values and price changes will 100% coincide with the typical FTL Season.
4. Initial Salary Cap? Trades?
- The starting salary cap at the AO has always been 100.000 and this will continue.
- The number of trades has always been capped via a simple calculation (2 X # of GW's) and capped at 3 trades for any given week. In this demo however, the number of trades for the season will coincide instead with what we had for a full season (68) - as a result, trades will not be an issue (unless you wanted to use more than 3 trades in any given week)
- For future seasons, the number of trades for the season will be properly capped tho.
5. Does my 2nd Chance team have to coincide with my normal team.
- No.
6. Can I have 2 teams on the same account? How do I get started?
- Currently, you cannot have 2 teams on the same account. In future years, you will be able to have both a team for the full season and a 2nd chance team on that account, but not for the initial demo.
- Sign in via E-Mail, Google or Facebook, and then input your Name and Team name. If you want to make life easy on yourself, you can easily mark your Name as John Doe 2nd Half.
- From that point, you make your team like you always have
- then join the Public League - 2nd Half Masters
