OVERALL LEADERBOARD AFTER CINCINNATI

More often than not, a picture speaks volumes and tells someone everything they need to know, but every once in a while context is required and it completely changes what you see in that picture.  Where we stand in the overall standings is precisely one of those occassions.  At the top there's absolutely zero movement amongst the top 3 managers, and only Silvi moved up a spot to sit in 4th amongst the top 5, but that doesn't tell the whole story as our Leader had a tough week and opened the door!!

Fedex Superstars (Aoun) came into the week with a 170+ point lead, but by the time the dust settled this week there was now 4 managers that were within that point threshold.  Aoun's team looked great on paper but after both of his Dark Horses (Berrettini, Brady) and 2 of his Team Players (Sinner, Rublev) lost in R1, the only question was how bad were things going to get.  He did end up with both mens finalists, so that helped him out, but he finished 94th for the week as he only accrued 478 points.

Nadal's Forehand (Dragan) continues to sit in 2nd, but thanks to an 8th place finish, he picked up 133 points and now sits only 38 points behind our leader.  Dragan had both winners and the other mens finalist.

Mirzini Sinovi (Samir) continues to sit in 3rd but thanks to a 17th place, he picked up 98 points and now sits only 98 points behind our leader.  Samir had both winners and the other mens finalist.

fc vepyrite (Silvi) moved up one place and now sits in 4th thanks to a 14th place finish.  He picked up 119 points and now sits only 125 points behind our leader.  Silvi had both winners and the other mens finalist.

YES, all 3 of the closest competitors to our leader had both winners and the other mens finalist!! What else is real interesting about this week is that everyone that sits inside the top 10 gained ground on our leader!

  • Prepare for CzechMate (Tricia) is 150 points back, and picked up 67 points.
  • Nbladeweilder (Nikhil) is 195 points back, and picked up 120 points.
  • Alcarazian Domination (Anthony) is 223 points back and picked up 86 points.
  • Thanks But No Shanks (Robyn) is 259 points back and picked up 22 points.
  • New Cal Aces (Mathieu) is 310 points back and picked up 32 points.
  • Roger That (Mikhail) is 313 points back and picked up 92 points

I hate to tell everyone this but they shouldnt expect to pick up ground on our leader in GW25 as he's one of the few managers with more than 4 or 5 players for the week (he has 7).  GW25 was always going to be tricky and after a litany of withdrawals most of us were left holding the bag, and wishing that we had more available options - hell even a warm body was going to be better than 4 or 5 roster spots where no one was eligible to accrue points.
